Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Montana Agri-Women. Whether you are an educator, a woman working in the agriculture industry or a consumer wanting to learn where your food comes from, we have information for you.

We are passionate about the industry that fuels us and the people making it happen. We are always trying to improve our site, so stay awhile, explore and check back often.

Montana boasts almost 28,000 farms and ranches spread across 59.7 million acres. They are exceptionally large, averaging 2,134 acres each. Producing a wide range of commodities, wheat and beef top Montana’s list.

Montana also raises sweet cherries, sugar beets, seed potatoes and hay, to name a few.

Montana is a national leader in the production of certified organic wheat, dry peas, lentils and flax, and ranks No. 2 in the U.S. for its honey and pollination industry.

Altogether, the Big Sky State’s agriculture industry brings an average of $5.2 billion to the economy annually.

About Us

Montana Agri-Women started in 1995 to join with American Agri-Women, to unite women's agricultural organizations and individuals in communication with one another and with other consumers to promote agriculture for the benefit of the American people and the world.

Montana Agri-Women stands to educate our members on the important issues involving the agriculture industry. We use this knowledge to provide the industry with a strong public relations outlet.
